As Philippine Global Explorers celebrates its seventh Foundation Day, the organisation reflects on a journey shaped not only by travel but also by friendship, volunteerism, and a shared commitment to serving the Philippines.

What began as a small gathering of well-travelled Filipinos has developed into a nonprofit community of more than 1,600 members around the world. Throughout that growth, PGE has continued to bring together people whose experiences, professional knowledge and passion for exploration can be channelled into projects that benefit communities across the country.

The organisation’s progress has been made possible by members who contribute far more than their travel stories. Through their time, skills, relationships and willingness to serve, they have helped build educational initiatives, community projects, partnerships and opportunities that extend PGE’s impact beyond the journey itself.

In his seventh Foundation Day message, PGE President Dr Rambi Francisco reflects on the organisation’s humble beginnings, expresses gratitude to the people who have shaped its development and looks towards the next chapter of PGE’s mission.

At the heart of the message is a recognition that PGE’s greatest strength lies in its people: members, volunteers, officers, partners and supporters who continue to transform a shared love of travel into service and lasting community impact.

A Message from the President:

We have come a long way from our humble beginnings seven years ago. What started as a small travel club of a few well-traveled Filipinos has grown into a nonprofit organization of more than 1,600 members, united by a shared mission to give back to our motherland.

I am incredibly proud of the many projects PGE has carried out to improve the lives of our fellow Filipinos across the country. I am equally grateful for the friendships, partnerships, and sense of community we have built along the way.

Every day, I am inspired by our members not only by the places they have traveled, but by the time, effort, and heart they continue to contribute to making PGE what it is today.

While we celebrate how far we have come, I believe we are only getting started. Together, we will continue to build an organization that not only inspires Filipinos to explore the world, but also empowers them to give back and create a lasting impact on our communities and our motherland for generations to come.

As PGE enters its eighth year, the President’s message serves as both a celebration and an invitation. It recognises the collective effort behind the organisation’s growth while reminding members that its story is still being written.

Every project completed, partnership formed and volunteer hour contributed has helped shape PGE into the community it is today. Its continued progress will depend on the same spirit of participation, generosity and shared responsibility that carried the organisation through its first seven years.

The seventh Foundation Day therefore honours more than a milestone. It celebrates the people who have built PGE, the communities touched by its work and the opportunities ahead to turn travel experience into meaningful service for the Philippines.
