Education can uplift social standing and break the cycle of poverty. PGE Gabay Scholarship was established to ensure that students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds have access to education and opportunities so that they can break free from the limitations imposed by their socioeconomic status.

PGE Gabay Scholarship Objectives:

  1. Support students in financial need with a stipend to cover living expenses (meals, transportation, internet access, books, school supplies, and miscellaneous expenses).
  2. Provide access to internship opportunities through the extensive PGE network, including members who own hospitality and tourism businesses or are involved in related industries.
  3. Foster a sense of community and mentorship among students and PGE members.

Scholar Profile:

  1. College students in the Philippines enrolled in courses related to tourism, hospitality, international business, international relations, and similar fields.
  2. State scholars whose tuition fees are already funded but still need funds for living and school-related expenses.
  3. Students who self-finance their education through part-time employment, easing their financial burden through a stipend.

Stipend Per Scholar:

Monthly stipend – P 2,750
Quarterly stipend – P 8,250
Annual stipend – P 33,000
4 years – P 132,000

The stipend covers a scholar’s living expenses, including meals, transportation, internet access, books, school supplies, and miscellaneous project expenses. Despite the availability of academic scholarships, many students cannot pursue their education because they simply have no means to pay for basic necessities like meals, transportation, or accommodations near campus.

How Can We Help?

  1. Individual or group contributions – No amount is too small. Encourage your friends and family to collectively support one scholar for a month! PGE is taking on a long-term commitment to support a scholar until graduation, so every peso counts.
  2. Chapter sponsorship – Adopt a scholar for 1, 2, 3, or 4 years!
  3. Connect with your scholars – Inspire them with your life experiences and travels.
  4. Mentoring and internship – Are you a business owner? Are you in the travel industry? You can mentor a scholar or provide networking or internship opportunities.
  5. Be the bridge. Connect PGE Gabay Scholarship with potential sponsors.
  6. Get involved. Organize meet-ups or events in support of PGE Gabay Scholars.
  7. Share our story. Spread the word. Share our advocacy.
