Hi, I’m Avee of Avee’s Adventures — founder of Avee’s Adventures Travel Agency, born and raised in the Philippines, now proudly holding a U.S. passport.

Before I ever stepped on a plane, I was a dreamer. I grew up in the Philippines with a deep curiosity about the world — a love for travel that started with my late mom, who showed me what it meant to explore with wonder and open arms.

In my early 20s, I moved to the United States. I built a new life, became a real estate agent in Florida, and worked hard to build a rising career. The money I saved — along with the support from my loved ones and my divorce settlement — helped me take a leap of faith and chase the lifelong dream my mom and I once shared: to visit every country in the world.

I’m also a proud mom. My 8-year-old daughter knows what I’m doing and supports me. I’m grateful for her dad — my ex — who’s helped raise her and given me the space to pursue this dream. It’s not always easy, but we make it work. I travel for all of us.

With my Philippine passport, I visited my first 50 countries — facing visa challenges and financial hurdles, but always pushing forward with heart and grit. Every country was a personal victory.

Then, three years ago, I became a U.S. citizen. With my new passport, I booked a one-way ticket and began traveling full-time. It wasn’t just a trip — it was a life reset. I was healing from a painful divorce and chose not to stay stuck. Instead, I turned my grief into momentum — and turned the world into my path to healing.

Since then, I’ve visited 100 more countries — bringing me to a total of 150. And I’m not done yet.

✨ This journey has changed me.

Travel became my therapy — my school, my sanctuary, and my freedom. I learned how to travel on a tight budget: taking overnight buses, riding trains and shared taxis, staying in hostels, couchsurfing, and camping when needed. I’ve crossed continents overland — from Asia to Central Asia, Central America, South America to Europe.

But my most unforgettable journey was a 10-month overland trip across Africa, from Morocco to Djibouti, where I camped across the continent. Africa opened my heart in a way no other place has. I witnessed incredible kindness — from people who had very little but still gave so much. I explored wild national parks, went on unforgettable safaris, and even summited Mount Kilimanjaro — one of my proudest and most emotional moments.

💛 Couchsurfing & Filipino Hospitality

A huge part of my journey has been made possible by the generosity of others — especially through couchsurfing. I’ve stayed with hosts who picked me up from the airport, showed me their cities, cooked with me, and became lifelong friends. Many times, I didn’t spend a dime after arriving — just shared stories and smiles.

Some experiences were magical — like being gifted a stay on a private island in the Solomon Islands, where I camped under the stars and went scuba diving. It’s moments like these that make this lifestyle unforgettable.

I’m especially grateful to the Filipino community around the world. Whether we met by chance or through a connection, Filipinos always showed up with warmth. Many helped me meet other kababayans in the next country, forming a chain of kindness that kept me going. Truly, Filipinos are #1 in hospitality.

🌴 Nature is my peace

I’m always chasing landscapes, nature, islands, and beaches — places that bring me calm and clarity. That’s where I feel most alive, most at peace, and most connected to my purpose.

I hit my 150th country in Brunei — a peaceful, quiet moment that reminded me how far I’ve come, and how much further I want to go.

This journey is about more than passport stamps. It’s about healing, connection, resilience, and honoring a promise — to my mom, to myself, and to every dreamer out there who wonders if they can do the impossible.

From 50 countries with my Philippine passport to 150 with my U.S. one — I’m still on the road, still chasing the dream, and more inspired than ever to finish what I started. 🌍💫
